URBAN COMPANION

URBAN COMPANION is the first pet drop by PODYH, created around the brand’s bestselling Koloda bag. The idea for the drop was born from a moment of both challenge and joy: during the production of the bags, leftover leather began to accumulate, and at the same time the brand’s designer, Daria Plaksyuk, welcomed a new companion into her life — spaniel Dune.

The desire to work responsibly with materials and to create considered pieces for canine friends as well evolved into a concise line of urban leashes and collars. They continue the brand’s clean, architectural aesthetic and blend naturally into PODYH looks in the city.

For the campaign, we invited dogs belonging to the brand’s friends — different in size, temperament, and experience. Among the four-legged heroes is a dog who cannot hear and responds only to gestures: its presence in the frame is a reminder that real connection is built on attention, trust, and care, rather than words.

The name of the drop, URBAN COMPANION, reflects its philosophy: “urban” highlights the connection to architecture and the urban environment, while “companion” (from the Latin “companio” — “the one with whom you share bread”) expresses a respectful attitude towards a pet friend as a true equal and constant fellow traveler.
