Nar blouse reinterprets the pomegranate, a symbol of femininity and fertility in Crimean Tatar culture — nar means pomegranate in Crimean Tatar. The form of the cast brass buttons follows a carved pomegranate from the staircase pilaster of the Bakhchysarai Palace.
